Thank you to everyone who joined our recent industry webinar, Year of Croeso and Hwyl campaign - Marketing Update held on 14 November 2025.  It was good to see so many stakeholders take the time to join us.

  • Hwyl campaign as part of the Year of Croeso – recent, current and future marketing activity (consumer and travel trade)
  • PR and media activity
  • How to take part and keep in touch with our plans; from attending industry events as part of Travel Trade activity to sharing messages. Take part in social media and press activity and making the most of opportunities such as your free entry on the Visit Wales websites.

The webinar covered the story so far with the Hwyl (the Welsh word for fun) campaign, which is delivered under the umbrella of the themed year. It also covered how our spring activity will look in 2026.

To recap, the Hwyl campaign focusses on the feelings of fun and joy that you can experience “Only in Wales” and aims to:-

  • Show unique, must-do things you can only experience in Wales.
  • Bring things to life in a way that helps Wales stand out from the crowd and creates “talkability”.
  • Build up Wales as a “bucket list” destination.

As well as Travel Trade and PR/media activity, the consumer focussed TV/streaming, paid digital and media partnerships continue. The “Wall of Hwyl / Wal Hwyl” which features on the Visit Wales homepage is filled with moments of fun and joy – hwyl - throughout Wales.
