What is TXGB?
Tourism Exchange Great Britain (TXGB) is a digital platform that connects accommodation, attractions, experiences and tours with more customers.
TXGB is a central digital marketplace. It enables tourism suppliers to contract and connect their content, availability and pricing with a diverse range of sales channels distributors in one go and manage this in one place.
Join once to access multiple sales channels and a growing range of niche distributors and destination websites.
TXGB allows suppliers to become bookable on a wide range of distribution channels (including niche operators, destinations and OTAs).
Joining TXGB is free and simple, there is no upfront cost or connection charge, you simply pay a 2.5% booking fee plus the commission of your chosen distributor (many of which offer 0% commission) on any bookings that you generate.
There is no connection charge, you don’t have to have online bookings on your own websites, and you can manage your distribution all in one place. You simply pay a 2.5% booking fee – only on bookings generated - plus commission of the chosen distributor.
Visit Wales / Welsh Government has licensed the TXGB Cymru Wales platform to make it available to the tourism industry in Wales. TXGB is already being used by VisitBritain, Visit England, Tourism Northern Ireland and it is already well established in Australia with other nations currently licensing it.
How does TXGB work?
Suppliers can connect to TXGB with an existing booking system, a property management system, a channel manager or through the free inventory loading tool.
If you don’t yet have a website or not currently bookable online, TXGB’s free inventory loading tool allows you to start selling online.

Campaigns
Being part of TXGB allows you to choose to opt in to specific regional and national campaigns. TXGB was used as the platform for selling and buying of tourism products around the Rugby League World Cup 2021, and to supply attraction products for The National Lottery Days Out campaign being delivered with VisitBritain. A successful campaign in partnership with Camelot and VisitBritain which saw a £4million fund where lottery customers could buy a £25 voucher to spend on any attraction or activity on the VisitBritain shop. The scheme was very successful with businesses noting high sales.
