Media Coverage – UK & International 

Visit Wales PR team has a strong relationships with both UK and international media. Whilst UK journalists often have a good working knowledge of Wales, Visit Wales continues to support them by giving them tailored itinerary suggestions, sharing the latest Wales news and product updates, and answering questions.

For international journalists from other countries, Visit Wales arranges special trips so they can see Wales for themselves. For UK journalists, Visit Wales gives extra help so they can write exciting stories about Wales, using the latest news, contacts, and ideas.

The Visit Wales media team had a busy summer, working with some of the top UK media outlets to show the very best of Wales.

Highlights from some of the recent UK coverage include the following:

• A National Geographic Traveller feature by Daniel Stables followed a media visit in May 2025 – How to experience a slice of the Italian Riviera in Portmeirion | National Geographic.
• Wales featured in DARKUS Magazine. An online and print magazine dedicated to all things music, fashion, beauty and lifestyle. With a bi-monthly print circulation of 55,000 copies and over 111,000 unique online visitors, DARKUS offers a vibrant platform for cultural storytelling. • The July 2025 edition of Coast Magazine was a special celebration of Wales. The entire issue showcased our stunning coastline, vibrant communities, and unique visitor experiences. The Visit Wales team worked closely with the editorial team, providing ideas and inspiration to help shape the content. We are proud of our ongoing relationship with Coast Magazine, who remain in regular contact with us to share Wales’ stories with their engaged readership. • Wales was proudly featured in The Times on 31 May 2025, in a beautifully curated feature titled “24 Great Places to Stay in Wales.” The article was written by James Stewart, a seasoned travel journalist and long-time admirer of Wales, who has explored the country extensively over the years.
