Get Involved with Random Acts of Welshness

Random Acts of Welshness is a hwyl-filled social media celebration of our nation. It showcases the good things we do for each other, for our communities and for our world.

What is an act of Welshness?

  • It’s a little thing that’s easy to do
  • It celebrates our people or traditions
  • And, above all else, it makes someone’s day, or the world, just that little bit better

How get involved:

  1. Choose a Random Act from the full list on our website
  2. Follow and tag us on social media @Walesdotcom, @cymraeg and@VisitWalesIndustry
  3. Share your Random Act on St David’s Day #randomactsofwelshness and #pethaubychain

New for 2026: summon the dragon to your visitor experience

This year, we’re showcasing Wales like never before with our new Draig Goch AR app, created by Sugar Creative.

Using your mobile device, you can place a virtual fire‑breathing Welsh dragon into your surroundings — at your attraction, your hotel or your event space, and film it roaming around.

We’re calling on industry partners worldwide to:

  • Capture the dragon in an iconic setting
  • Share it on social media
  • Tag @Walesdotcom

Let’s show the world where the Welsh dragon has travelled by 1 March.
