Subject to sufficient interest from Wales suppliers, Event Wales, Meet In Wales team are looking to exhibit with a Wales branded stand at five leading global events for Business Events in 2026.
To support both developing and already established Business Events Industry suppliers in Wales with opportunity to exhibit on the Meet In Wales pavilion, we are offering up to 10 spaces at each of the below exhibitions.

- IMEX, Frankfurt 19-21 May 2026
- The Meetings Show ExCel, London 24-25 June 2026
- IMEX America, Las Vegas 13-15 October 2026
- IBTM World, Fira, Barcelona 17-19 November 2026
m&i Expo in Abu Dhabi is a premier event for the global meetings and incentives industry. It brings together senior decision-makers and influential buyers for three days of pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings and networking. The event focuses on quality connections, immersive destination experiences, and curated business opportunities.
IMEX in Frankfurt is the largest trade show in Europe for the meetings and events industry. Bringing together global event planners and buyers with significant buying power.
The Meetings Show at ExCel London is the UK’s leading exhibition for the meetings, events, conference and incentives industry, delivering the largest hosted buyer programme of any industry event in the UK.
IMEX America at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas provides the opportunity to meet over 4,000 Business Event decision makers from high level incentives to large association conventions with real buying power in one of the biggest markets in the world.
IBTM World at Fira Barcelona is a leading global event for the meetings, incentives, conferences and events industry. Bringing together the global meetings industry, build face to face connections with the right people, gain key industry insight and, engage in influential networking opportunities.
Buyers at these events range from team building and incentive planners to corporate and association organisers and event planners for both large and small-scale events.You must have:
- a product suitable for the Business Events market.
- ability to proactively contract and sell to global Business Events buyers and planners to participate.
- Sufficient and suitable resources to handle all the pre-event, during-event, and post-event requirements effectively
Prescheduled meetings are key to achieving ROI at these events and you must have the resource and ability to secure appointments in advance and to undertake effective follow up from appointments after the events.

A Meet In Wales selection criteria will be applied to your application. Main criteria, which Meet In Wales reserve the right to apply to all applications includes:
- Must have a suitable Business Events product offer and ability / sufficient resource to proactively contract with global Business Event Buyers and event planners
- Aiming for spread of product across Wales, knowledge to promoting other products that compliment your business and also have a Business Events suitable product;
- Using this platform to only promote products in Wales;
- Must commit to attending entire event duration (or split as a collective application to ensure all days are covered – see below*)
- Being accountable by providing an indicative ROI expected by exhibiting and keeping Meet In Wales updated regularly on progress of events secured and any losses and reasons why from leads met at each event.

The closing date for applications will be 12:00 Friday 16 January 2026.
Grant Funding by way of a discounted cost to the cost of a stand sharer will be applied at each event is available under the Cymru Wales Brand Exhibitor Presence Support Scheme SC1426. Full details of the scheme can be found here.
To state your interest, please complete this form. Subject to meeting the initial criteria you will then be sent the terms and conditions form to sign. If successful, it will form your contract with us, and we will issue you with a final award letter, including details of the grant award being offered.
We encourage destination representation and welcome products, destinations and local authorities where applicable to work together to present an area with product to present itself to the market.
Business Event clusters/consortia are able to apply to split the costs and presence exhibition into daily appointment diaries – only one diary per day per consortium will apply.
*You must complete the terms and conditions to show you meet the criteria and to be accepted as a Wales stand sharer.
Applications will be reviewed by a panel and you will be notified by 26 January 2026 if you have been successful.
