There is a forum in each region - north, mid, south east and south west. The forum meets three / four times a year to discuss and review tourism developments and to bring together key stakeholders within the region.

The overall aim of the Regional Tourism Fora is aligned to the Visitor Economy Forum. It is to provide the Welsh Government and Visit Wales with a representative voice for the visitor economy sector, its employers, and its workforce (tourist accommodation, hospitality, attractions, events and night-time economy) by providing feedback and advice from the sector to inform Welsh Government actions.

This approach is consistent with the social partnership approach of government, employers and trade unions working together in a spirit of co-operation and collaboration, to fulfil shared ambitions and address common concerns.

Each regional forum has a chairperson. The current Chairs are -

  • North Wales - Michael Bewick
  • Mid Wales - Steve Hughson FRAgS
  • South West Wales - George Reid
  • South East Wales - Rachel Cilliers

As a member of the Regional Forum stakeholder group, members' details will be managed in line with our Privacy Notice.
