Wales Tourism Summit 2025

Leading experts from the tourism industry in Wales, the UK, and beyond came together for a one-day Tourism Summit organised by Visit Wales. They talked about future trends, challenges, and shared their experiences and knowledge.

This important event was for tourism leaders and experts from Wales, the UK, and Europe to:

  • share insights and experiences, and
  • encourage collaboration and innovation within the sector.

It provided:

  • a chance to hear from experts about attracting international visitors, visitor taxes, and managing destinations
  • the opportunity for decision-makers and experts to meet and network with other tourism leaders
  • the possibility to explore opportunities for the tourism industry, which adds £3.8 billion into the Welsh economy each year.

Welsh Government support for the sector over the next financial year includes:

  • Visit Wales: Over £9m revenue budget and £6m capital budget
  • A £50m Wales Tourism Investment Fund
  • A £5m Brilliant Basics Fund

“In a world where travel connects us more than ever before, I don’t take for granted the incredibly important role tourism and hospitality businesses play. They are driving local economies and generating income for communities throughout Wales. Our ambition is clear: to develop high-quality, year-round experiences that enrich the lives of both visitors and our host communities. We’re investing to continue our award-winning marketing of Wales to the world – and I know we can work together to build on the many strengths that bring people here.”
